In the summer of 2014, brother and sister duo – Austin Shaw and Christine (Shaw) Naylor, commiserated over the challenges of being a parent in this new digital world. They had few videogames growing up. They used to go outside and play in the backyard. Years later, they have found themselves living on different coasts (California and Connecticut) both struggling with not knowing how to deal with constant conflict involving their children’s electronic devices.
After talking to just about every parent they knew, Austin and Christine both realized there was a tremendous demand from parents who also needed help managing their kids’ screen time. So they started Wise Devices, Inc. which is a community that provides a toolbox of apps to help parents become more involved and aware of their children’s digital lives.
